Stress Reducing Holidays

Now, you’re ready to slip on your sneakers — and hit the local footpaths. While you’re at it, how about adding an extra stress-busting strategy or two? For instance, take a walk:

  • In friendship. Whether it’s your Westie or your bestie, a companion can help reduce anxiety — and help you stick with your walking program.
  • On the wild side. Being in nature is a soothing stress reliever. So, find a safe, well-traveled trail or park where you can regularly hike your worries away.
  • With gratitude. As you make loops around the mall or walk to the bus stop, think about what you’re thankful for — blessings both big and small.

These simple practices can lead to less stress and greater well-being. So, happy walking — and here’s to your feet!
