Although most customers won’t notice any changes, Steege Pharmacy in West Union, Iowa, will be operating under new ownership as of December 1, 2011.
NuCara, which owns and operates nine other locations in Iowa, one in Illinois and one inTexas, recently purchased the pharmacy previously owned by Kenneth Steege.
“We feel that Steege Pharmacy will fit perfectly under the NuCara umbrella. Their focus is on the customer and offering personal service that is often missed at big box pharmacies,” says Brian Wegmann, CEO of NuCara.
Besides some upgrades in technology and an expanded list of health care services, customers won’t see many other changes. NuCara assures them they’ll still be greeted by the same smiling faces they always have been.
“It’s been our long-time goal to preserve the essence of small-town, independent pharmacies while offering the health care services patient’s might not get elsewhere,” says Wegmann.
Besides retail pharmacy, NuCara is known for their quality of care in areas such as respiratory therapy, custom medication compounding, home infusion services, home medical equipment, after-breast surgery prosthetics, wound care, and diabetic supplies and services.
